Networking & Connectivity

NETWORKING & CONNECTIVITY

Security systems only work properly when the network behind them is reliable.

THE BACKBONE OF MODERN SECURITY

Cameras, access control, control rooms, Wi-Fi devices and remote sites all depend on stable connectivity. Secure Defence designs and supports the network layer so the security equipment can communicate reliably.

WI-FI & LAN

Managed switches, access points, structured cabling, network cabinets, VLAN planning and site-wide Wi-Fi.

FIBRE

High-speed fibre links for buildings, estates, plants and long-distance connections where copper is not suitable.

WIRELESS LINKS

Point-to-point and point-to-multipoint bridges for connecting buildings, cameras and remote areas without trenching fibre everywhere.

VPN & FAILOVER

Secure site-to-site connectivity, remote-support access and LTE/5G failover options for resilience.

WI-FI 7 — WHAT DOES THAT ACTUALLY MEAN?

Wi-Fi 7 is a newer generation of Wi-Fi designed to handle more devices, higher speeds and busy environments more efficiently than older Wi-Fi generations. For security infrastructure, a well-designed wireless network can support cameras, access devices, mobile users and remote connections more reliably.

CONNECTING MULTIPLE BUILDINGS OR SITES

Depending on distance, terrain and capacity, we can use fibre or engineered wireless bridges to link buildings and remote equipment. For secure remote access, VPNs can connect sites without exposing cameras or controllers directly to the public internet.

Secure Defence works with professional networking platforms including Ruijie/Reyee and Ubiquiti where suitable for the application.
